I write cozy, comedy, fantasy stories that can be strange, hopeful, ridiculous, heartfelt, or occasionally all four at once.

I like stories with a little room to wander. Stories where something unexpected can happen, where the people don't always fit neatly into the world around them, and where there's usually something worth finding along the way.

I have been escaping the world my entire life into the stories and adventures that I would create. But I never let people read it. Ever.

Until one night while drinking with my husband, 6 years ago. Alcohol does what it tends to do, become a random moment of liquid courage because of how much fun your having.

I pulled out a scene from my writing and let him read it.

I don't know what I had expected...

He began reading it out loud, so passionately, with so much excitement and enthusiasm.

He was so lost in the moment his arm shot up into the air holding an invisible sword

I could see it...

He was standing right there, inside of my story.

And while watching him, something clicked. Well...Everything clicked.

I saw my self entirely.

I didn't just want to write stories. I wanted to spend my life making people feel like they were inside of them.

Now years later, I'm a published author with my 5th book hitting shelves on September 22nd and I'm still chasing that exact feeling.
